Grant has been a resident of Colorado for almost 10 years, and began practicing law in 2008 as a Colorado State Deputy Public Defender in Steamboat Springs. Grant followed this experience by starting a litigation focused law practice in 2011. Starting in 2016, Grant has primarily focused on business development and operational strategies.
Grant completed his undergraduate work in 2002 at the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, cum laude. Grant was a member of GW’s varsity crew team, and after graduation, he worked as a teacher in Kathmandu, Nepal and Seoul, South Korea.
Grant returned to the George Washington University for law school, earning his J.D. in 2008. Following law school, Grant moved to Steamboat Springs to work as a Colorado State Deputy Public Defender and then opened his own litigation-focused law practice prior to joining the Modern Family Law team.
Grant’s empathy, patience, and intellect allow him to deeply connect with clients personally and professionally. This connection, combined with studious preparation, years of legal experience, and courtroom skills provide Mr. Bursek the means to be a relentless advocate and valued counselor for his clients. As a former collegiate athlete, Mr. Bursek understands how the interplay of teamwork and steadfast perseverance creates successful outcomes for clients in the legal arena.
Grant is a former board member, and president of the Board of Directors for the Steamboat Springs Arts Council and Steamboat Springs Symphony Orchestra. He enjoys the artistic and cultural events the Denver community has to offer; in addition to skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and traveling.
