Modern Family Law Expands in Georgia with New Alpharetta and Savannah Offices

Company NewsPublished August 19, 2026
Modern Family Law in Georgia

Modern Family Law now has three family law offices in Georgia: Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Savannah. The new Alpharetta and Savannah locations expand the firm’s existing Atlanta presence and give more Georgia families access to local attorneys for divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, property division, legitimation, and other family law matters.

Georgia clients can meet with attorneys in person or virtually and use online case tools, educational resources, and family law calculators to better understand the decisions ahead.

At Modern Family Law, growth only matters if it helps us serve families better.

As Chief Practice Officer, it makes me proud that we’ve expanded our Georgia presence with new offices in Alpharetta and Savannah, joining our established Atlanta office. With three Georgia locations now open, our attorneys are better able to help families with divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, property division, and other family law matters.

For me, this expansion is about more than putting two new locations on a map. It means building local teams in more Georgia communities while continuing to improve how people experience the family law process.

Our clients can meet with their legal team in person or virtually, access case information online, sign documents digitally, communicate with their team, and use our state and local educational tools to better understand the decisions ahead.

Family law can change nearly every part of a person’s life. Our job is to make navigating that change clearer and more manageable.

It’s always a top priority to make sure that as Modern Family Law grows, we continue to build strong local teams rather than lose our connection to the communities we serve.

Expanding to Savannah and Alpharetta builds on our Atlanta foundation and allows us to give more Georgia families access to experienced local attorneys and a client experience we’ve designed to make difficult times a little easier.

Just as important, we want to grow with people who share our commitment to respect, honesty, and genuine care.

North Georgia

Our New Family Law Office in Alpharetta, Georgia

Our Alpharetta office gives families in Alpharetta and surrounding North Georgia communities another local option when facing divorce, custody, child support, and other family law issues.

An important part of our approach is understanding when conflict is necessary and when it is simply making an already difficult situation worse. Managing Attorney Marques Carter has been clear about what he wants our Alpharetta team to accomplish:

“Expanding to Alpharetta advances our mission to reduce conflict, protect stability, and help families move forward with confidence.”

— Marques Carter, Managing Attorney

I think that is especially important when children are involved. A court case eventually ends, but parenting does not. Parents may still need to communicate, make decisions, attend school events, celebrate milestones, and show up for their children long after the court case ends.

Coastal Georgia

Our New Family Law Office in Savannah, Georgia

Our Savannah office brings Modern Family Law’s Georgia family law services to Savannah and surrounding coastal communities.

Managing Attorney Ada Zeno describes something I believe gets to the heart of why our work matters:

“Families don’t stop being families when a case closes. Divorce, custody and other family law matters may change what a family looks like, but the relationships, responsibilities and futures at the heart of that family continue.”

— Ada Zeno, Managing Attorney

That idea is closely connected to our Help You Start Over mission. Starting over does not mean pretending the past did not happen. It means helping someone get through a major change and reach a place where they can begin building what comes next.

A divorce decree or custody order may close a legal case, but it also marks the beginning of a different stage of life. Parenting responsibilities continue, and financial decisions have lasting effects.

Good legal representation is only part of what clients need. People also need information: what is happening in their case, how to communicate with their legal team, what documents mean, and whether they may need legal help at all.

Building on Our Atlanta Presence

Our expansion into Alpharetta and Savannah would not be happening without the foundation our Atlanta team has built.

Cynthia Griffin, Managing Attorney of our Atlanta office, has been with Modern Family Law for nearly six years. Her perspective on growth captures something that is important to all of us:

“I’ve learned that we don’t seek comfort, we evolve with the families we serve and the challenges they face.”

— Cynthia Griffin, Managing Attorney

Cynthia has also shared that she wants to see our Atlanta office become known for honoring Georgia’s traditions while bringing thoughtful solutions to the evolving challenges families face, and our team shares that goal.

Growth should not mean doing the same thing in more places. It should mean learning from the people we serve, improving how we work, and building teams that understand their communities. Alpharetta and Savannah are the next part of that work in Georgia.

From Craig Valentine

What This Growth Means to Me

When we talk about expanding Modern Family Law, I never want the conversation to become about how many dots we can put on a map.

Family law is too personal for that.People usually come to us when something important in their lives is changing. A marriage may be ending. A parent may be worried about time with their children. Someone may be trying to understand whether they can afford to maintain two households. That deserves more than a transaction.

Our attorneys do the work while remembering what happens after the legal work. There is a person who still has a life to live and, often, a family that will continue in a different form. As we grow in Georgia, I want us to keep earning the trust that comes with being invited into those moments.

What we want to preserve as we grow
01

Strong Local Teams

Attorneys who understand and serve the communities around them.

02

Clear Client Communication

Helping clients understand what is happening and what comes next.

03

Technology That Helps

Using technology to make the legal experience easier—not more complicated.

Finally, I want our attorneys to remember that the case in front of us may be one matter on a court docket, but for the person living through it, it can affect almost everything.

I’m proud of what our Atlanta team has built, and I’m excited to see Marques Carter and Ada Zeno lead our teams in Alpharetta and Savannah. Most of all, I’m looking forward to seeing what these teams build for Georgia families in the years ahead.
