Biography
Deanna Tatevosyan is a Bellevue family law attorney who helps clients navigate divorce, child custody, support, and other complex Washington family law matters. Since beginning her legal career, Deanna has focused exclusively on family law, giving her a strong understanding of the legal, emotional, and practical challenges individuals and families often face during periods of transition.
As the daughter of immigrants, Deanna developed an early appreciation for the importance of strong advocacy, compassionate guidance, and access to justice. Seeing the difference thoughtful legal support can make in people’s lives inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others feel heard, understood, and protected.
Before joining Modern Family Law, Deanna worked at a prosecutor’s office, where she gained valuable courtroom experience and strengthened her skills in legal analysis, public speaking, and advocacy. That experience continues to inform her work today, particularly when a family law matter requires strategic preparation or litigation.
Deanna approaches each case with empathy, careful attention, and a commitment to understanding what matters most to her clients. She recognizes that no two families are alike and works closely with each client to develop a practical legal strategy tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.
While Deanna values resolving disputes through thoughtful negotiation whenever possible, she is prepared to advocate firmly in court when litigation becomes necessary. Her goal is to help clients understand their options, make informed decisions, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Outside the office, Deanna enjoys prioritizing wellness, exploring new culinary experiences, spending time with loved ones, and participating in events within the Armenian community.

Deanna earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, where she majored in Sociology and minored in Law, Societies, and Justice. She was recognized on the Dean’s List and volunteered with the Seattle Municipal Court’s Community Resource Center, gaining early exposure to the relationship between the legal system and community support services.
She later earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. During law school, Deanna developed her family law experience through the Family Law Practicum and her involvement with the Family Law Organization.
Her leadership and service activities included serving as President of the Dispute Resolution Board and Editor-in-Chief of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. She was also involved with the Seattle University Post-Conviction Appellate Alliance and received recognition as a Pro Bono Pledge Awardee.
Deanna’s education in sociology, dispute resolution, social justice, and family law gives her a well-rounded perspective that supports her work with individuals and families throughout Bellevue and the greater Seattle area.
Deanna has remained actively involved in the Armenian community throughout her life and enjoys participating in community events. Her connection to the community continues to reinforce her commitment to service, advocacy, and helping others feel supported during challenging times.
