Biography


Sarah Bounar is a compassionate and dedicated family law attorney who helps clients navigate challenging transitions with empathy, clarity, and confidence. She brings a strong background in advocacy for children and families, which gives her a unique understanding of the emotional and practical complexities that often arise in family law matters.

Sarah gained valuable experience through externships in both the civil and criminal divisions of the Superior Court, where she refined her litigation skills and developed a thoughtful, client-centered approach to advocacy. She also worked with youth and families through legal aid organizations, where she saw firsthand how stability, understanding, and access to justice can transform lives. Sarah also worked with community-based organizations, including Justice At Last and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), where she supported vulnerable individuals and families navigating challenging situations. These experiences deepened her understanding of the human side of law and inspired her to pursue a career in family law, where she could empower clients to move forward with stability and confidence.

Sarah was drawn to family law because it allows her to help people find strength and resolution during some of life’s most difficult moments. She is committed to ensuring every client feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout the legal process.

When she’s not practicing law, Sarah can usually be found reading a good book and relaxing with her cat, Coconut.

Outside of her legal work, Sarah enjoys writing. She is currently working on her own novel. She also loves Pilates, spending time outdoors, and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants around the Bay Area.
