Biography
Tara Delaney moved to Colorado from New York City in 2012, seeking the sunshine, ski mountains, and a place to raise her family. Tara’s first career was in the advertising industry, building global brand campaigns, client relationships, and creative problem-solving. She spent over a decade working with clients such as Verizon, Fruit of the Loom, Netflix, and Infiniti Motor Company.
Tara transitioned to the legal field in 2018, working side by side with an attorney for a small family law practice specializing in the representation of parents and children in dependency and neglect matters. Tara was sworn in as a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional in 2025, a role that reflects her commitment to justice and her dedication to serving families with professionalism and care. Tara is a problem solver and a fierce advocate for her clients.
When she’s not working, you can find Tara playing USTA league tennis (and taking it a little too seriously) and spending time with her husband, two children, and rescue pets. She is a die-hard Villanova Wildcats basketball fan.
Tara’s background in advertising has given her a strong foundation in strategy, communication, and client service – skills that have translated directly into her legal practice. At her core, she believes that all families deserve to have access to justice via legal representation.
Tara knows that divorce and custody issues are emotionally charged matters, and she approaches each client with empathy and kindness. She takes a collaborative approach, understanding that litigation isn’t always the main path to resolution.
Tara graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minors in Psychology and Spanish. Tara is part of the second class of Colorado’s licensed legal paraprofessionals and took the Oath of Office in January 2025.
