Biography
Jill Bader is a Bellevue family law attorney with Modern Family Law who helps clients navigate difficult family transitions with compassion, transparency, and practical legal guidance.
Born and raised in Colorado, Jill moved to Washington in 2020 to attend Gonzaga University School of Law. While in law school, she was involved with the Women’s Law Caucus, served as co-president of Gonzaga’s Public Interest Law Project, and worked with high school students through the Street Law program.
After earning her Juris Doctor in 2023, Jill began her legal career in legal aid, where she represented and assisted individuals facing a wide range of legal challenges. Her work included family law, landlord-tenant matters, public benefits, and reentry issues. Through her family law practice, Jill gained experience with divorce, the dissolution of committed intimate relationships, parenting plans, domestic violence protection orders, and guardianships.
That experience also shaped Jill’s trauma-informed approach to practicing family law. She understands that clients often come to a family lawyer during stressful and deeply personal periods of their lives. Her goal is to create an environment where clients feel heard, supported, and informed while helping them understand the legal process and the options available to them.
Jill combines compassionate advocacy with clear communication and transparency. She works to help clients approach difficult decisions with greater clarity and confidence while developing a path forward that reflects their circumstances, priorities, and goals.

Whether a client is navigating divorce, a parenting matter, a protection order, or another family law concern, Jill’s goal is to provide thoughtful advocacy and practical guidance while helping them move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Jill graduated magna cum laude from Colorado Mesa University in 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science.
She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2023. During law school, Jill served as co-president of Gonzaga’s Public Interest Law Project and participated in the Women’s Law Caucus and Street Law program.
Jill is a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar and is also a member of the Benton-Franklin Bar Association.
