Biography
Dea Sula was originally born in Houston, Texas, but as the child of Diplomats, she grew up all around the world. She has lived in Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. This experience has made her open and understanding of many cultures and helps her connect with her diverse client base in the Bay Area.
Dea attained her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and then came to the South Bay to study law at Santa Clara University School of Law. She is passionate about helping others with compassion and understanding and aims to be an empathetic ear while providing the best legal services she can.
Dea is an active listener and always tries to get to the heart of her clients’ matters, discerning their key desires and concerns. She understands that family law touches deeply personal aspects of her clients’ lives, including their family, marriage, and finances. Because of this, Dea uses the utmost attention and care when doing her legal work.

Dea always approaches her cases by first connecting and understanding her client, as each person and their situation is unique. Getting to the root of the matter is the foundation for the rest of the case, as this builds the client and attorney relationship and prepares Dea to be the best representation she can be as the matter progresses.
Dea is then meticulous, planning out her case and the work to be done, informing the client of next steps and keeping detailed records. Her approach is one of politeness and professionalism, with her main goal to efficiently and effectively move her client’s matter to resolution. She aims to negotiate and settle the best outcome for her clients when that is in their best interest, but does not shy away from the courtroom and will always be a strong advocate. By being meticulous early on, Dea can present the best case and evidence on behalf of her clients, whether their matters move to mediation, settlement, or court.
Dea Sula attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. During her time there, she was awarded $5,000 to study art history in Italy, and her final research paper was published in the Texas Scholar Works collection.
Dea considered what to pursue next and decided to follow her passion for helping people through the law, and obtained her J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. She received a merit scholarship for her studies. While in law school, Dea was selected to be published in the Santa Clara Journal of International Law. She was also part of an Appellate Level Immigration Clinic and submitted a case brief to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Dea volunteers with her local library to help read to children and help her community.
Dea Sula is a member of the California Bar Association. Dea received the Witkin Award during law school for having the best performance in her negotiation class.
