Biography
A dedicated advocate with a powerful blend of litigation experience and human understanding, Adam Newhouse serves clients from Modern Family Law’s Denver office with steadfast commitment and practical guidance. After beginning his legal career in bankruptcy, finance, and creditors’ rights law, Adam transitioned to family law to make a more personal impact, helping individuals regain stability during some of life’s most difficult transitions. With years of civil litigation under his belt, he brings both sharp legal acumen and genuine compassion to every case, whether he’s securing overdue child support, navigating complex financial disputes, or helping clients rebuild a sense of normalcy and control.
Adam approaches family law with a clear mission: to protect his clients’ futures while treating every person involved with dignity and respect. He knows that divorce, custody battles, and financial disputes are not just legal problems; they’re deeply personal life events. Drawing from his background in high-stakes litigation, Adam is relentless when it comes to advocating for his clients’ rights, yet measured and thoughtful in how he engages with the process.
Rather than inflaming conflict, Adam focuses on solutions that restore balance and stability. He listens closely to his clients’ priorities, explains legal options in practical terms, and develops strategies that minimize unnecessary stress while maximizing long-term security. Whether negotiating settlements or stepping into court, his clients can count on a calm, confident presence who fights hard and always with heart.
Adam’s academic journey reflects both intellectual curiosity and leadership. He earned dual degrees in Biology and Philosophy from Washington & Jefferson College, where he was also a four-year starter and team captain of the football team — an early sign of his drive and discipline. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he remained deeply involved in student leadership as Treasurer and Class Senator of the Student Bar Association, Parliamentarian for the ABA Law Student Division, and Associate Editor of the Law Review. Years later, driven by a continued passion for learning, Adam returned to higher education during the pandemic and completed his LL.M. in Energy and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
