Biography
Conor Stewartson is a Senior Attorney with Modern Family Law in Colorado Springs who helps clients navigate difficult family law matters with thoughtful strategy, clear guidance, and strong advocacy.
A Colorado native, Conor attended the University of Colorado for both his undergraduate education and law school. After earning his law degree, he spent five years as a public defender in Colorado Springs, an experience that shaped both his courtroom skills and his approach to practicing law.
Conor believes legal representation should never lose sight of the people behind the case. Family law matters often arise during periods of uncertainty, conflict, and major life transitions, and he understands that the decisions made during a case can have lasting effects on individuals and families.
That perspective is one of the reasons Conor was drawn to family law. His work as a public defender taught him the importance of standing beside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. In family law, he saw an opportunity not only to advocate for clients through immediate challenges, but also to help them build a stronger path forward.
Conor is comfortable in the courtroom and enjoys the strategy involved in litigation. He looks for creative ways to present evidence, solve problems, and advocate effectively for his clients. At the same time, he does not believe conflict should be prolonged simply for the sake of fighting.
Particularly when families will continue interacting or parenting together after a case ends, Conor looks for practical resolutions that protect his client’s interests while creating a workable path forward. When a fair resolution cannot be reached, however, he is prepared to advocate firmly in court.
Above all, Conor wants clients to know they have someone in their corner. His goal is to help them understand their options, make thoughtful decisions, and move through difficult circumstances in the strongest position possible.
