Biography
Rheanna is a Washington native who has lived on both sides of the Cascades. She grew up in Eastern Washington but always knew she would put down roots on the West side of the State. Having lived in both, she brings a nuanced understanding of Washington’s diverse communities and culture to her legal practice.
Rheanna’s commitment to family law is deeply personal. She grew up in a divorced household and has seen family members and close friends struggle with custody and domestic violence-related issues. Her decision to pursue a legal career stemmed from a desire to support families in similar situations as they navigate complex legal issues and start their next life chapter. Rheanna has a particular passion for supporting those experiencing domestic violence.
Before Modern Family Law, Rheanna served as an Assistant City Prosecutor, where she gained extensive courtroom experience. She harnesses that experience to strategically and confidently advocate for her clients and help them achieve practical outcomes that align with their goals.

Rheanna thinks like a trial attorney, because that’s what she is. Every case is prepared as if it will go to trial, not because every case does or should, but because she believes it positions her clients to achieve their goals. Building a strong foundation based on the facts and evidence unique to each case allows Rheanna to strategically position her clients to achieve practical and equitable outcomes.
Although she’s ready and willing to go to trial if necessary, Rheanna firmly believes that collaborative avenues are often the best way forward for most cases. She is always ready to explore mediation and negotiation to craft creative solutions. Her guiding light is always her clients’ needs and protecting their best interests.
Rheanna completed her law degree at Seattle University School of Law, where she focused much of her practical work on Family Law-related coursework. She elected to take both a Domestic Violence Practicum, where she advocated on behalf of petitioners seeking protection orders, and a Family Law Practicum, where she got hands-on experience with filing for temporary orders in dissolution proceedings.
Her undergraduate work was completed at Walla Walla University, where she majored in Communications with an emphasis on Journalism and a minor in Marketing.
