Biography
Born and raised in Federal Way, Washington, Myranda brings a deep connection to the local community and a strong sense of purpose to her practice.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Seattle University. Driven by a passion for advocacy, Myranda continued at Seattle University School of Law, where she expanded her focus to family justice and public interest work.
During law school, Myranda interned with API Chaya, providing support to survivors of domestic violence and trafficking in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. She also had the distinct honor of interning for Justice Mary Yu of the Washington Supreme Court, an experience that deepened her appreciation for thoughtful, community-centered legal decision-making.
Myranda joined Modern Family Law to build meaningful relationships with clients and to serve as a compassionate, strategic advocate in moments of personal and legal transition. She is committed to making a real impact by delivering respectful, empowering, and results-driven representation.
Outside of work, Myranda enjoys going to concerts, cooking, and traveling to experience different cultures and communities.
Myranda Buiquy approaches each case with a balance of compassion and precision. Drawing on her background in public interest work and family justice, Myranda takes the time to understand each client’s unique goals, crafting thoughtful, strategic plans tailored to their needs. Her experience with both survivors of domestic violence and the state’s highest court informs her belief that effective advocacy is rooted in empathy, respect, and results.
Myranda earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from Seattle University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, which laid the groundwork for her analytical thinking and structured approach to problem-solving. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, where she focused on family justice and public interest law. During her time in law school, Myranda interned with API Chaya and the Washington Supreme Court, gaining hands-on experience in advocacy, trauma-informed care, and judicial decision-making.
