Biography

Nicol’s fondness for the legal field began during her own adoption process, but her passion to pursue law flourished while earning her associate degree on a military base overseas. Inspired by her business law professor, a fellow Latin educator, Nicol embarked on the journey to become an attorney.

As a first-generation college student, Nicol was determined to break into the legal field upon her return stateside. In the small town of Oxford, Mississippi, at a solo practice law firm, she landed a role as a data entry clerk, which she ultimately progressed to the role of a law clerk upon her departure after graduating from law school.

Growing up as the eldest sibling in a military household and gaining much of her early experience working for high-ranking military families overseas has given Nicol a unique understanding of multicultural and multifaceted family dynamics that she carries into her practice today.

Because family has always been one of Nicol’s foundational pillars, her alignment with the driving theory behind family law, “in the best interest of the children,” has felt effortless in steering her work.  She appreciates the opportunity to guide parties towards child-focused solutions that foster stability and support healthy transitions into new family dynamics.
