Biography
Although Lauren grew up in Florida, she has called Georgia home since 2022 and is ecstatic to join Modern Family Law’s Georgia office as an Associate Attorney. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Lauren has traveled up and down the East Coast for school. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida, then earned her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in New York.
After law school, Lauren began her legal career as a staff attorney for a superior court judge in north Georgia. She soon became an Assistant District Attorney in metro Atlanta, where she handled felony and misdemeanor cases in superior court, as well as delinquency cases in juvenile court. Now, she is thrilled to be joining our Atlanta office, where she will strive to make a difference by helping families find peace in unfortunate times.
With her experience handling family law matters while practicing as a staff attorney, as well as handling sensitive criminal matters as an assistant district attorney, Lauren understands the impact legal issues can have on individuals and their loved ones. She is driven by a genuine desire to assist people in navigating through some of the most significant and emotional aspects of their lives.
Outside of work, Lauren is passionate about animal welfare and enjoys horseback riding, watching theatre, traveling with her family, rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and most importantly, spending as much time as she can with her dog, Daisy.
Interesting Facts
Lauren attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she graduated cum laude. While in her undergrad program, Lauren was a member of both Sigma Kappa sorority and the student group, People for Animal Wellness.
Lauren went on to attend Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York, where she earned her Juris Doctor in May 2023. While in law school, Lauren served as the vice president, and then president, of the Syracuse University Animal Legal Defense Fund student chapter. She also worked in the Syracuse University Veterans’ Affairs legal clinic.
