Biography
Bridgette Harrison is a distinguished family law practitioner, proudly rooted in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bridgette graduated from Loyola Law School New Orleans in 2021 and immediately began practicing law in New Orleans.
Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Bridgette was able to obtain a transfer of her law license from Louisiana and was admitted to Colorado with permission of the Colorado Supreme Court. She immediately began practicing in Colorado Springs.
In 2008, Bridgette joined a different large firm in Colorado Springs, establishing their domestic relations division. By November 2009, Bridgette hung out her shingle and began practicing exclusively in Colorado family law. For the next 16 years, Bridgette built and ran a successful family law practice before transitioning to Modern Family Law.
Specializing in family matters, Bridgette understands the profound impact legal issues can have on individuals and their loved ones. Her practice has always been driven by a genuine desire to assist people in navigating through some of the most significant aspects of their lives, family, children, and financial well-being. She treats her clients like family, and over the almost 2 decades of family law experience, she continues to keep in touch with former clients, always concerned about the safety, happiness, and well-being of the children in these cases.
Bridgette tries to resolve cases without being overly litigious, constantly striving to ensure the parties, and especially their children, make it through the legal process as quickly and painlessly as possible. If that cannot be achieved, Bridgette has no issue with proceeding to a hearing on issues and zealously represents her clients throughout the process.
Outside of the courtroom, Bridgette enjoys time with her husband and their 6 dogs on their large mountain property. She and her husband enjoy cooking and feeding anyone and everyone in their neighborhood who is interested in their cooking. So far, no complaints….

Bridgette is constantly strategizing with clients, involving the clients in the strategy, and requesting their input and thoughts. She strives to always include the client in every step of the process, explain legal terms in easy-to-understand language, and in an effort to minimize their anxiety.
Bridgette strives to resolve as many issues as possible, understanding that protracted litigation is not in the client’s best interest, or those of the children. However, if negotiations falter, Bridgette will be fully prepared to address the contested issue before the Court. Bridgette also fully prepares the client for their testimony and presentation of their case, since the client is the “star” of the “show.” Involving clients in every step of the process ensures the client understands everything and is prepared for any outcome.
Bridgette Harrison attended LSU in Baton Rouge, electing to return to New Orleans and complete her undergraduate degree in Communications at the University of New Orleans. After working for the New Orleans NBC affiliate for a few years, she elected to attend law school, with an initial goal of doing sports law.
After working in various fields of practice in New Orleans, including federal cases, workers’ compensation, personal injury, and Longshore and Harbor’s compensation act, she moved to Colorado Springs after Katrina, starting briefly with a local workers’ compensation firm, and then moving to the El Paso County DA’s office. After starting with a different local law firm, she became interested in family law, quickly picking up and understanding the process and becoming committed to helping families and children going through divorce. Of all of the fields of practice tried and worked, Bridgette found a true passion with family law and hasn’t changed her field of practice in the past 17 years. As Bridgette says, “I do one thing, and I do that one thing well.”
Volunteers on Wednesday evening for El Paso County Call-A-Lawyer and is always seeking ways to give back.
