Biography
Ashley Hotchkiss is a Seattle family law attorney who helps individuals and families navigate difficult legal transitions with compassion, practical guidance, and a focus on moving forward.
Originally from Kansas, Ashley later made Seattle her home and now serves clients throughout Washington. She chose to dedicate her practice to family law because of the opportunity to support people during some of the most personal and challenging periods of their lives.
Ashley understands that divorce and other family law matters can represent the end of one chapter, but they can also create an opportunity for a new beginning. She works closely with clients to understand their circumstances, explain the legal process clearly, and help them make informed decisions about what comes next.
Her approach combines empathy with practical problem-solving. Ashley seeks to reduce unnecessary conflict whenever possible, recognizing that thoughtful negotiation can help families limit the emotional and financial costs of litigation while preserving important relationships. When an agreement cannot be reached, however, she is prepared to advocate firmly for her client’s interests.
Above all, Ashley wants clients to feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the legal process. Her goal is not simply to resolve the immediate legal matter, but to help clients reach a place of greater stability and confidence as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
Outside the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and taking advantage of the Pacific Northwest through hiking, skiing, and kayaking.
