Biography
Baylie Blanscett (pronounced Bay-Lee Blan-Set) is a family law practitioner who was born and raised Texan. She approaches family law issues with integrity, compassion, and understanding. While she strives for amicable solutions for her clients, she is a zealous advocate for her clients in the courtroom and with opposing parties.
Prior to joining Modern Family Law, Baylie gained legal experience in various areas of law, ranging from civil litigation to criminal defense. Baylie chose to continue practicing in family law because she understands the profound impact legal issues can have on individuals and their loved ones. Moreover, Baylie understands the importance of her clients being informed of their legal rights when it comes to their own families.
Baylie’s practice is driven by honesty and a genuine desire to assist people in navigating through some of the most significant aspects of their lives—family, children, and finances. Baylie actively communicates with her clients and clearly identifies each of her client’s goals and priorities, tailoring a unique approach to every case with empathy and strategy. Beyond the legal arena, Baylie is an avid gamer and sports connoisseur. She enjoys playing the latest video games and keeping up with college and professional sports—mostly basketball and football. On weekends, Baylie enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, recharging, and watching the latest shows, whether it be anime or reality TV.

Once retained, Baylie meets with her clients and asks about their specific goals and priorities for their case. After discussing her client’s goals and priorities, she tailors a unique game plan for each of her clients in order to fight for what matters most to them.
Baylie understands the importance of family law issues to her clients—this is why she believes that integrity, open and honest communication, and compassion are at the forefront of her representation. With this approach, Baylie keeps her clients fully informed throughout their case and strives to reach amicable solutions with opposing parties. If an amicable resolution is not feasible for her client, Baylie is not afraid to litigate the case and zealously advocate for her client in the courtroom.
Baylie Blanscett is a Texas Tech University graduate and a life-long Red Raider fan. She graduated with magna cum laude Honors from Texas Tech University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media & Professional Communication. During college, she advocated for domestic violence awareness as a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
After graduating from Texas Tech University, Baylie attended law school at the University of Tulsa College of Law in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree and graduated with honors. While in law school, Baylie was the Executive IT Editor of Tulsa Law Review and also served as the Justice of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.
Baylie is licensed to practice law in Texas and is an active member of the Texas Bar Association.
