Patrick L Westman
Quick Facts About Patrick
- Mr. Westman joined as an associate attorney in January 2019.
He is a proud Denver, Colorado native. As a trial attorney Patrick has represented his clients in over sixty jury trials and hundreds of hearings throughout the state of Colorado with a proven track record of success.
Mr. Westman graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010 in the top 10% of his class earning the distinction of Order of St. Ives. Prior to law school Patrick earned a Double Major in History and Political Science with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He also earned a Paralegal Certificate while attending Metro before deciding to attend law school and earn his Juris Doctorate.
Patrick approaches every case from the perspective that all matters regardless of the issue, if necessary, should be argued in front of the Court in order to protect the rights of his clients. However, in eight years practicing law he has learned that the majority of cases, if handled right, can and should be settled without the stress and cost associated to his clients with unnecessary litigation.
He believes there is a cost v. benefit or risk v. reward evaluation that needs to be assessed continually throughout his client’s representation to make sure that their rights are being protected and they get an outcome to which they are satisfied with and deserving of. He will never advise a client to enter into an agreement when it is not in their best interest and a more favorable outcome is likely at trial or a hearing.
The main goal of his representation is to provide his clients with the support and advocacy they need to withstand the stress, anxiety and pressure that family law cases necessarily bring with them, while at the same time, obtaining the favorable and just outcome that they deserve. He will give you an honest assessment of your situation with empathy and compassion regardless of the situation.
