After her 2 years as a law clerk, Jennifer opened her own office as a solo practitioner in Flint, Michigan, where she handled cases involving diverse issues focusing primarily in family law.
Regarding family law, Jennifer has experience in:
- Protection Orders
- Grandparents Rights
- Child Support
Jennifer graduated from DePaul University in 2001 with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Sociology. She was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society. After earning her undergraduate degree, she attended Western Michigan University (WMU) Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During her time in law school she was hired by the Prosecuting Attorney Association of Michigan (PAAM) where she was assigned to the juvenile abuse and neglect division and then to the District Court Criminal Division. She graduated WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2005.
Jennifer recognizes that family law matters can be a very stressful time for clients and she understands the need to be patient and straight forward at all steps of the case. She believes in listening to the client and building a strong foundation where the client trusts her and her opinion of the issues.
While practicing in Michigan, Jennifer realized that there was a need for fair representation regardless of whether you were a man or a woman or regardless of your socioeconomic status; therefore, she represents the person that comes in the door and their situation on an individualized basis because not one case is ever the same.
Jennifer is comfortable inside and out of a courtroom either litigating your case or aggressively negotiating on your behalf. While Jennifer is a skilled litigator, she strongly believes that, at times, this may not the best strategy, and if a settlement can be negotiated it may be a better outcome for all parties.
Jennifer is organized, well versed in case law, and most importantly will take the time to make sure she knows you as a person and is familiar with all aspects of your case.
